Color for short curly and coily hair in DC
Color on coily, curly and wavy hair is for anyone with textured hair chin length or shorter, any gender: a Signature Color is $225 and takes 2 hours, in my studio a five-minute walk from Dupont Circle Metro.
Curls and coils show color differently. Light catches the top of each curl, so copper, honey and blonde read brighter on textured hair than the same formula on straight hair. I color your hair in its natural texture and finish it the way you wear it, so you see the result as it will look at home.
I protect the curl pattern first: a scalp check, a bond treatment with every color service, and lightening only as far as your hair can go in one visit. If you want to go lighter than that, we plan it across visits.

Will color change my curl pattern?
Lightening can change how hair behaves. I keep lightening to what your hair can hold and use a bond treatment every time.
Do you press or flat iron after color?
No. Every finish is natural: air-dried, diffused or rough-dried.
How light can my hair go in one visit?
