What a visit is like, start to finish
One chair, one guest, about two hours or less for color. Here's every step, from booking to the walk out.
Before you arrive
Book
Pick a service on Vagaro, or start with the free 15-minute video consult. No card or deposit needed.Tell me about your hair
Vagaro sends a short intake form: your color history, a few photos, how much upkeep you want and any sensitivities. About five minutes.Show up as you are
Wear your hair the way you usually do, so I can see how it sits. Bring inspiration photos if you have more.
When you walk in
A private suite at Sola Salon Studios, Suite #5, 1010 N. Glebe Road, between Clarendon and Ballston. A note with your name waits on the side table, with coffee or tea, a snack, crystals, and a tarot deck if you want to name the chapter.
In the chair
Consult
We talk goals and check your scalp. I look at your skin, your eyes and your natural pigment, and find your color season, before choosing a shade. Talk or quiet, your choice.
Shape
If you added a cut, I cut dry first, so the color lands on your new short shape.
Color
Built around your skin and eyes, never a filtered photo. Short hair means less processing time.
Natural finish
Air-dried, diffused or rough-dried. No pressing or flat ironing.
After
Your chapter card
You leave with a card naming your shade and what keeps it looking good at home. The next visit
Bold color looks best with a gloss every 4 to 6 weeks; a Refresh keeps roots matched within 8 weeks. Color Club holds a Refresh every 6 weeks for $99 a month.
